Greg Young (Gartner Research)
Greg Young is a research vice president at Gartner Research. He has over 23 years experience in IT security in the public and private sectors. He spent his military career in technology security, and was the head of IT security for the federal department of Communications. Mr Young received the 'Confederation Medal' from the Governor General of Canada for his work with smart-card security. He has headed large security consulting practices, and was chief security architect for a security product company providing firewalls and public-key products for high security applications.
Scott Wright (Security Perspectives)
Scott Wright is an Ottawa-based and globally engaged security coach, consultant and researcher. His public and private sector IT security experience, and experience training teams on various security disciplines, provides Scott with a wide range of perspectives on modern security. As a researcher, Scott launched the Honey Stick Project in 2008, dropping dozens of USB 'probes' around North America to see what people would do with them. Scott uses and speaks on social media technology platforms to engage professionals and managers who want to increase their organization's chances of surviving this age of Rapid Information Sharing.
Chris Ellis (McAfee)
For over 30 years Chris Ellis has been involved in the networking industry. Initially a network engineer in the 1980s, Chris developed networking products in Toronto and Ottawa. In 1990 he became an independent network security consultant, working in the Ottawa area for over 15 years; during this time he also delivered seminars across North America. In 2006 Chris joined McAfee as a Senior Systems Engineer, bringing real world experience and knowledge to his presentations where he weighs the pros and cons of secure network designs against the myriad of attacks and vulnerabilities on today's networks.
